As Certified Experts in Security and Alarm Systems, we provide a multitude of comprehensive services, including expert witness, consultation, training, forensic investigations, on-site inspection, and laboratory analysis and testing, in connection with any alarm or security-related matter.

Our Forensic investigations encompass a myriad of tasks which among other things can include, but are not limited to, the security survey, need analysis, system design, recommendations, application, installation, programming, service, inspection, testing, maintenance, central and remote station monitoring of the security system, and focus of the equipment manufacturer’s specifications, system documentation, the installation techniques utilized, analysis of scientific and technical methodologies, complete review and interpretation of Central Station database information, internal event log data, notification and dispatch instructions, suppression implementations, special instructions and log only instructions. UL Standards, NFPA® Standards, Alarm Science, Nationally Recognized Industry Standards and Best Practices, International Fire Code, International Building Code, Boca- Building Officials and Code Administrators International, Inc., Uniform Fire Code Standards and Crime Demographics, Foreseeability, Security Analysis, Security Science, Threat and Vulnerability Assessments, Analysis and Review of Policies and Procedures, Customs and Habits, Training, Supervision, and potential indicators of fraud and/or fraudulent conduct.

Among his many accomplishments, Jeffrey D. Zwirn, CPP, CFPS, CFE, SET, FASI&T, CHPA-IV, MBAT, President of IDS Research and Development, Incorporated was awarded three (3) United States Patents for Alarm Systems, is a 25 Year Active Designated Expert Instructor to the New York City Police Department (NYPD), the Nation’s Leader in Law Enforcement, is a High Security Specialist, Master Alarm Technician, Florida, New Jersey, New York State, Delaware, Washington, D.C., Certified Burglar and Fire Alarm Contractor, Florida State Registered Electrical Contractor, Certified Burglar and Fire Alarm Specialty Electrician, Certified Protection Professional (CPP)-Board Certified in Security Management, American Society for Industrial Security, Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) National Fire Protection Association® International (NFPA®), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Association of Certified Fraud Examiners,NICET® Certified Level IV Senior Engineering Technician (SET) in Fire Protection Engineering Technology/Fire Alarm Systems-National Institute For Certification In Engineering Technologies, and Certified Homeland Security Protection Associate Level IV (CHPA-IV) by The National Sheriffs’ Association in partnership with The Global Society of Homeland and National Security Professionals.
